REBOOT FACT VS. FICTION!

We break down which plot points are legit and which are bogus

Brian lives in the shadow of his famous wife.

VERDICT Green’s BH90210 character stays home with the kids while his superfamous wife is off walking the red carpet. In real life, his wife of nine years, Megan Fox, once enjoyed being center stage but says she’s since put motherhood first. “My job is to be with [my kids].” The couple have three sons, Noah, 6, Bodhi, 5, and Journey, 3, and Brian has another son, Kassius, 17, from his relationship with Vanessa Marcil, who also starred on 90210.

Tori’s broke!

VERDICT On the show, Spelling is struggling to make ends meet despite having wealthy parents and a successful career. In 2017,

she and husband McDermott were ordered to shell out $220,000 to City National Bank for defaulting on a loan, but she recently assured fans she “can pay her bills.” (Another difference: Real Tori has five kids, while her alter ego has six.)

Jason punched out an actor.

VERDICT This one has an element of truth but some important differences. The star — who plays a direcmarried tor to Vanessa Lachey (in real life he’s married to makeup artist Naomi Lowde-Priestley and they have two kids, Ava, 12, and Dashiell, 10) — slugs a bratty actor. In reality, he admitted to punching the now-disgraced Harvey Weinstein at a 1995 party for being a “big bully.”

Tori lost her virginity to Brian.

VERDICT During the premiere ep, Spelling tells

Garth that Green punched her

V-card on and off the show.

While Donna

Martin did, in fact, lose her virginity to David Silver, the same can’t be said for their real-life counterparts. As to whether they dated at all, in her 2008 memoir, STORI

Telling, Spelling writes, “One summer we kind of dated, in that undefined, group date, hookup kind of way.”

Everyone’s scared of Shannen.

VERDICT The onscreen cast was less than thrilled to see Doherty return — which Spelling says was a play on the rumors that Doherty ruffled feathers on the original 90210 set. “We wanted to play into the public perception,” she says. “We were best friends back in the day,” she clarifies, “and we’re all psyched to be back together.”
