SPEARS VS. SPEARS

-

News about Britney’s ongoing battle with her father after he allegedly endangered her sons.

It’s been a chaotic few weeks for Britney Spears. On Sept. 3, Us confirmed that her ex Kevin Federline had filed a restraining order on behalf of sons Sean Preston, 14, and Jayden, 13, in order to get them away from their grandfather Jamie Spears, who’d allegedly violently shaken their oldest son. The same day, a source told Us that Britney and Federline, 41, made a change to their custody agreement that resulted in the Grammy winner getting fewer visitation rights. Days after that, Jamie, 67, requested to temporarily step down as his daughter’s conservator (and on Sept. 9, Britney’s

care manager, Jodi Montgomery, was appointed temporary conservator). While Britney, 37, is relieved to have her father away from her children for now, she’s facing an emotional uphill battle. “Britney’s mental condition before the incident was fragile at best,” a source tells Us, noting that she’s “furious” with her dad and is “extremely distraught” over the current situation. “Her biggest fear has always been losing custody of her boys,” adds an insider, “and now she feels that Jamie may have put her in jeopardy as a result of his actions.” The first source also notes that the event could impact Britney’s ongoing request to permanently end the conservatorship that’s been in place since 2008. HER ROCK Fortunately, the star has a strong support system in boyfriend Sam Asghari. The personal trainer,

25, “only wants the best for Britney, her boys and her happiness,” says the insider. “He tries to keep her levelheaded and calm whenever there’s drama within her family. They really do love each other.”
