Teddi Mellencamp shares her baby news exclusively with Us.

Sometimes the #blessings flow when you least expect them! As fans of The Real Housewives

of Beverly Hills know, Teddi Mellencamp has plenty on her plate.

She’s a wife to hubby of eight years Edwin Arroyave, a mom of three — son Cruz, 5, daughter Slate, 6, and

stepdaughter Isabella, 10 — and the CEO of her own accountability

coaching business, All In by Teddi. Now she’s taking on another role: new mom! We sat down with the

reality star, 38, to chat about her unexpected pregnancy, and what she learned from the last season of

RHOBH.

Q: OMG, congratulations! How far along are you? Thank you, thank you! I’m so excited. I’m in my second trimester, 14 weeks. I wanted to keep it under wraps for a while because I had so much trouble getting pregnant with my other two… I had to do IVF, and had miscarriages. Apparently I’m now of “advanced maternal age.” [Laughs.] But I’ve completed all that testing, so now I know I’m in the clear. Plus, I have a bump, so I can’t do much more hiding!

Q: So you did IVF with your other pregnancies but not this one?

We weren’t even trying!

Edwin and I always said we wanted another one, but after how hard it was with my son — many failed attempts, and once he was born, he was in the NICU — we were like, “All right, we’re just going to put a pin in this.” Q: Oh, wow. My husband said, “I don’t want to see you going through IVF again, that was brutal.” During [that process], I was on a bunch of steroids and blood thinners, I was giving myself shots. I wasn’t feeling my best. I felt kind of alone, like it wasn’t anybody else’s problem but mine, and I wasn’t very vulnerable about how I was feeling. But this time, we really weren’t doing anything to try. I was on vacation, just having fun with my family! It was a complete surprise. Q: Do your kids know yet? They do, and they’re so excited. It’s actually been my son who’s been like, “Mom, we need to have another baby!” I never wanted to get his hopes up, but when we told him, he was through the roof. They’re already calling it “their baby,” and they have names picked out. Q: So cute! Are you letting them give input on the baby’s name? Oh, yeah! We have them all written down. I remember my parents did the same for me when my mom was pregnant with my sister. She was like, “You get to name your sister,” because I was so bummed it wasn’t a boy. So I chose the name Pencil! And for the first five years of my sister’s life, her nickname was Pencil! Q: That’s amazing! On last season of Housewives, you admitted to being overwhelmed — and now you’re pregnant too! Have you been able to find balance? I’ve realized it’s kind of impossible… it’s going to ebb and flow. You never have complete balance and you can drive yourself crazy trying to find it. It’s OK that some days I’m working 24/7 and some days I have to be like, “You know what? I’ve hired people who can help me, and this day is fully for my kids and my husband.” But I feel excited that I’ve built a tribe within my company now. I have more than 45 coaches working for me, and we’re like a big family. •

?? ?? Because of the couple’s IVF struggles, even after Mellencamp’s pregnancy test came back positive, her hubby (below, with kids Slate
and Cruz) wasn’t taking any chances. Jokes Mellencamp, “Edwin was like, ‘We have to go to the doctor! I don’t believe this test!’”
