Jonathan and Drew Scott let Us take an exclusive peek inside their gorgeous fixer-uppers!

Drew and Jonathan Scott have helped thousands of people make their dream homes a reality. So when it came time to renovate their own houses, the Property Brothers relied on their vast experience — and, of course, each other. “Jonathan is an amazing designer,” says Drew of his twin, who pitched in with transforming Drew and wife Linda Phan’s 1920s L.A. fixer-upper into a modern but cozy, family-friendly abode. And when Jonathan was dead-set on decking out his Las Vegas digs with a two-and-a-half-story winding water slide, an initially apprehensive Drew worked hard to get it built. (He was also the first person to try it out, much to Jonathan’s chagrin!) The beloved 41-year-old tag team — Drew is a real estate agent who finds homes for clients on the brothers’ hit HGTV series, while contractor Jonathan handles the reno — also incorporated lots of pieces from their new line with Kohl’s, Scott Living, to make each place uniquely theirs. “We spent a lot of time curating the line,” says

Jonathan of the exclusive collection. Adds Drew, “We’ve designed things we want in our homes, things that can elevate the look without breaking the bank.” Here, Drew, Linda and Jonathan give Us a tour of their sweet spaces — and open up about the challenging but oh-so-rewarding task of making a house a home.

VEGAS MAGIC

Jonathan’s hosted some epic bashes at his Mediterranean-inspired Sin City spread. “I had 160 people here for my last party,” he says. Guests at all his fêtes are treated to multiple poolside bars, water volleyball tournaments and an ice cream station (along with that epic water slide). But this is no bachelor pad. “I hate calling it that,” says Jonathan, who’s dating New Girl actress Zooey

Deschanel (see below for more on their budding romance). “It doesn’t feel like that — it feels like a home.”

He’s made sure of that by incorporating lots of personal touches. “I’m a strong believer in designing around conversation pieces,” says the contractor, who created custom shelves in his bedroom and living area to showcase things like a lava sculpture from Bora-Bora and a replica of Scottish legend William Wallace’s sword. “That’s the first thing people ask about,” he says with a laugh. “They’re like, ‘Why the heck do you have a seven-foottall sword?!’ ”

The Vancouver native and illusionist (he’s worked as a magician!) is a self-described “kid at heart,” and it shows. His playroom is stocked with Skee-Ball, Whac-AMole (with a twist — it’s actually a “Whac-A-Scott,” with his relatives’ heads popping up) and a Zoltar machine. “It’s quite a hit,” says Jonathan. “My house is definitely filled with lots of fun.”

And when he’s in the mood for some quiet time, he retreats to his backyard wonderland for a relaxing soak in the hot tub. “That’s my favorite place to lounge,” he says. “I have a 15-foot movie screen I pull down so I can sit in the hot tub and watch Game of Thrones. It’s pretty nice.” We’d call that an understatement!

They call it their honeymoon house. “We worked on it right before our wedding,” says Drew, who exchanged I do’s with Linda in Italy in May 2018. Since then they’ve been settling in and working on starting a family. “I think we’re at

17,” jokes Linda of the number of kids they want. “However many we have,” says Drew, “we’ve spent a lot of time building a home that will show them a lot of love.” They included a play area, and Linda says she’s ready to give up her craft room for a nursery. “It’s the best spot,” says Drew. “There’s so much color and creativity in there.” The house has a “Hollywood glam, art deco feel” but isn’t stuffy, he adds. That’s crucial, given the longtime couple’s open-door policy. “Last Christmas, we had 14 family members staying with us,” says Linda, the creative director of Scott Brothers Entertainment. “I think our family and friends spend more time here than we do,” adds Drew. (Jonathan even has his own guest suite, complete with a kitchen and laundry room.) Since staying in with guests is their favorite thing to do, the living area has a game station filled with every board game imaginable. And that’s not all: “We have pizza, a candy station, games, karaoke, music,” says Drew. “It’s all about having fun.” And making memories. While the decor is beautiful (Drew’s especially fond of his antiques and coin collections), the couple care more about the people inside. “Yes, we made over the house and brought in new furniture,” says Drew. But, adds Linda, “we want to focus on what goes on around it all — like life.”
