Out of Sight, Out of Mind
If William, Kate and their little ones were missing the Sussexes at Christmastime, you wouldn’t know it! The happy family (sans baby Louis) made a pretty picture as they headed to the annual Christmas service at
St. Mary Magdalene Church in Sandringham on Dec. 25 with Prince Charles, then sat down for the royal lunch.
ALL IS CALM, ALL IS BRIGHT?
The queen, on the other hand, may have been nursing a royal grudge: In November, a source revealed to Us that she was “disappointed” that Meghan and Harry had decided to spend the holiday on their own. And though she mentioned little Archie in her annual Christmas telecast (right) — “Two hundred years on from the birth of my great-great-grandmother Queen Victoria,
Prince Philip and I have been delighted to welcome our eighth great-grandchild into our family,” she said — unlike last year, there were no photos of the Sussexes on display. William and Kate, on the other hand, were front and center with their kids, George, 6, Charlotte, 4, and Louis, 20 months, as were Charles and Camilla, and Prince Philip, who was briefly hospitalized before Christmas. (“Harry’s incredibly worried about him,” a source tells Us.)
NEW YEAR’S WISH
Although Archie’s cousins “adore” him, a source shared with Us, “like most children, they’re easily distracted and resilient,” so his absence didn’t affect them much. But their mom, Kate, “is hoping that in the new year, the cousins will spend more time together.”
