KOURTNEY’S TWISTED ROMANCE
Kourtney Kardashian could be headed for heartache if she doesn’t pump the brakes with Travis Barker, warn multiple sources.
There’s something different about Kourtney Kardashian.
“It’s been a long time since friends have seen her this carefree and happy,” says a source close to the reality star, who’s been flaunting her sexy new romance with musician
Travis Barker all over social media in recent weeks.
“They’re acting like two teenagers in love,” the source adds. “It’s out of character for Kourtney to let loose like this, but everyone’s thrilled to see she’s finally letting her guard down.”
Less than four months after Us confirmed that the 42-year-old is officially dating the Blink-182 drummer, multiple sources say they’re head over heels in love — and that Barker, 45, is planning to pop the question soon! “There’s a lot of talk he’s ready to propose,” says a second insider, “and there’s zero doubt Kourtney will accept.” Adds the first source: “They’ve both been in serious relationships before, so they know when something feels right.” Kardashian was in a 12-year, on-again/off-again relationship with Scott Disick (they share Mason, 11, Penelope, 8, and 6-yearold Reign) while Barker was married to model Shanna Moakler from 2004–2008 (they have two kids, Landon, 17, and Alabama, 15). “Kourtney always felt something was missing with Scott,” notes the source. “With Travis, everything is easy.”

But the insiders say pals are urging Kardashian to slow down, and that there’s more to Barker than meets the eye. “Travis is a pretty needy guy who can often burn people out quickly with his intensity,” says the second insider. “He’s passionate and intelligent and a real charmer, but also sensitive and demanding. He may not be the knight in shining armor Kourtney thinks he is.” Barker’s ex, Moakler — who’s thrown shade at the couple for fawning over each other on Instagram — hinted her relationship with the star wasn’t a walk in the park when she posted a quote online in February that read, “Stop complaining about your life.
There are people out there dating your ex.”
A third source agrees that Barker can be a lot to handle. “A little of Travis goes a long way. He can be like an un-housebroken puppy and he also has an ego-fueled dark side,” says the source. “Hopefully Kourtney won’t let herself get dragged in too deeply.”
BIG GAMBLE
She’s tuning out any warnings. “Yes, it’s been a whirlwind, but Kourtney has been friends with Travis for many years and doesn’t think there will be any major surprises,” says the first source. “She knows what she wants this time and she’s going to get it.” The second insider says she’s willing to put her heart on the line. “Kourt’s not naive and knows that there are certain risks involved, but she’s trusting her instincts,” explains the insider. “She’s going full steam ahead giving this everything she’s got.”
