BALANCING ACT

Sources say friends of Sandra Bullock are worried she’s working too hard — and that there’s trouble at home with her boyfriend of six years, Bryan Randall

Between her busy work schedule, life as a single mom and whispers that her romance with Bryan Randall is on shaky ground, friends fear Sandra Bullock may be reaching her breaking point.

More than 30 years into her acting career, Sandra Bullock is as in-demand as ever.

She’s been working nonstop, churning out the 2018 hit Bird Box (which broke records for being the most watched Netflix film ever during in its first week), the upcoming drama The Unforgivable (due out Nov. 24) and March 2022’s Lost City of

D with Channing Tatum. She’ll also soon star alongside Brad Pitt in Bullet

Train, which wrapped in March. “Sandra is a colossally accomplished actress,” says a source, “but there’s talk she may be stretching herself too thin.” The source tells Us those close to the 57-year-old fear she might be nearing her breaking point. “The feeling is that Sandra’s doing way too much and could really benefit from slowing down.”

Meanwhile, there are whispers that there’s also trouble in paradise between Bullock (who’s mom to Louis, 11, and Laila, 9) and her boyfriend of six years, photographer Bryan Randall. “For a while, it seemed like a no-brainer that Sandra and Bryan would get married,” says the source. “But all talk of a wedding has evaporated, and it’s got a lot of people in her life scratching their heads and wondering what’s gone wrong with Mr. Right.” (A rep for Sandra plays down talk of issues at home saying, “They are a solid family unit and everything she and Bryan do is for the kids and their best interest. Family is always first.”)

CHANGING TIDES

When Randall came into Bullock’s life in 2015 he was “a breath of fresh air” for the star, an insider previously told Us. She’d been publicly humiliated by her cheating ex-husband, Jesse James, in 2010 and felt she’d finally found her happily ever after with the handsome 55-year-old. “Sandra and Bryan had this wonderful honeymoon phase,” says the source. “A big reason she fell so hard and fast was because he was this devoted partner and stepdad who brought kindness and levity to her life at a time she needed it the most.”

According to the source, there’s been a shift since the pandemic. “Bryan and

Sandra don’t seem to be prioritizing a wedding right now,” the source says of the pair, who haven’t been photographed out in public together since December 2019. “At home, Bryan helps out as much as Sandra lets him, but the feeling is that he’s not really as hands-on as people might think,” the source adds. “He has his own business to take care of and isn’t this house-husband figure, let’s put it that way.”

HER PRIORITIES

No matter what she has going on in her life, motherhood will always come first for Bullock. Even when she’s off shooting, the star — who never spends more than five days away from her kids at home in Austin, Texas — is super-present in their day-to-day lives. “She wants minimal help from nannies,” the source explains. Some even say it can feel like she’s raising Louis and Laila alone. “Sandra’s not one to delegate something she’d rather do herself. She keeps everything in the front of her mind, from the names
