Bidding Farewell

Less than one week after his sudden death at age 65, Bob Saget was given the send-off he deserved during a private funeral held at Mount Sinai Memorial Park in L.A. on Jan. 14. “Anyone who could be there moved heaven and earth to make it,” a source tells Us, adding that his former Full House costars John Stamos, Dave Coulier, Candace Cameron Bure, Jodie Sweetin, Lori Loughlin and Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen were just a few famous faces in attendance. “There were lots of tears, of course, but so much laughter too,” says the source. “It was a perfect goodbye for Bob.” Following the vigil, a small group of attendees gathered at Full House creator Jeff Franklin’s home for a celebration of life memorial. “Bob’s wife, Kelly [Rizzo], has been overwhelmed with all of the love and support,” shares the source, noting that she’s been finding solace in hearing the impact her late husband had on others. “Every day she’s told another beautiful story about how Bob touched someone’s life. It’s really helping to keep her together.”

Stamos, Coulier and John Mayer were among the pallbearers at the service, which, a source tells Us, overlooked “Warner Bros. Studios, where they filmed Full House.”
