Major Comeback!

She hasn’t released an album since 2016, but sources say Britney Spears, who recently teased a new song on her Instagram (see inset) — is eager to get back to her pop star roots. Only this time, her comeback will be on her own terms. “[Britney’s] main ambition is to produce material that has more substance and where she can express herself freely,” a source tells Us of the singer, 40. “She’s done a lot of writing over the years and there are a ton of lyrics ready to go.” Next up, getting into the studio to “figure out how it’s all going to come together,” adds the source. “She can’t wait to get started!”
