It’s a toss-up over who’s more popular on social media — Beckinsale or her Persian cat, Clive, whom she always dresses up in hilarious outfits. “He’s keen on it,” she’s said of her stylish pal, who she also carts around in a front-facing baby carrier. “I’m very much a cat person,” she added. “Cats are easier than dogs. You don’t have to walk around with a bag of poo like you do with a dog!”

Dunham is particular when it comes to her favorite cats — sphynxes, a.k.a. the “hairless kind.” The Girls creator has two of them and has suggested she’d be into having more: “I am *this close* to turning my home into a Sphynx cat rescue and devoting my life to their needs. Cross me one more time and it’s done,” she joked on Twitter.

Animal lover Kesha has a soft spot for felines, especially Mr. Peeps, who has his own verified Instagram account! The singer even likes to take him for neighborhood walks in a pink, custom ride. “My wild baby loves his stroller time,” she revealed, adding, “Yes I am losing my marbles.” Kesha’s also noted that men who don’t like cats are total dealbreakers, teasing, “There’s a special place in hell for them.”

In 2018, the talk show host and her girls, Olive, now 9, and Frankie, 7, adopted three kittens that they named Lucky, Peach and Fern — but Barrymore’s intention at the time was to just pick one! “My daughters and I went to rescue a cat and came home with three,” she said, adding, “Christmas miracle, or I just became the crazy cat lady?”

Swift likes cats so much she was even in the movie version of the musical! The mom to Olivia and Meredith (both Scottish folds) and Benjamin (a Ragdoll) once worried about having too many furry friends. In 2014, she noted, “Before I got the second cat, I was kind of canvassing everyone I knew, saying, ‘Is two cats a cat lady?’ And they’re like, ‘No, three is a cat lady, two is a party!’” Clearly, she’s embraced the title since.

The star of Fox’s sitcom Call Me Kat, which follows a woman who quits her job to live out her dreams of owning a cat café, is equally obsessed with felines! Bialik counts her kitties as confidants, sharing, “My cats saw me through a divorce. They saw me through the loss of my father. My cats know when I cry. And they comfort me.”
