The past year has been a tough one for Wendy Williams, who’s lying low amid rumors she won’t return to her eponymous chatfest because of mental health issues. But a source close to the 57-year-old host, who struggles with Graves’ disease, insists she’s doing well. “She’s been going through a transition between her divorce and the loss of her mother,” the source says. “But she’s in a good place.” The source adds that Williams simply doesn’t want to go back on the air — at least not yet. “She mentally isn’t ready,” the source says. “She’s enjoying taking time for herself. She’s working out, spending time with loved ones and building strength. She also likes feeling normal, without all the fanfare!” On top of it all, notes the source, Williams is “realizing there’s more important stuff to life than her show.”
