FROM KID TO COSTAR

- By Riley Cardoza / With reporting by Christina Garibaldi & Sharon Tharp

Candace Cameron Bure felt like “the biggest stage mom” while working with her daughter, Natasha, on her latest project, Aurora Teagarden Mysteries: Haunted by Murder. “I loved every minute of it,” the star, 45, says of watching her eldest child play a younger version of her character. “Natasha was asking about my body language [because] Aurora is a very curious person. She’s always studying, and she’s very aware of things that other people aren’t.” If it were up to the Fuller House alum, she’d always work with her kids.

“Whatever we’re doing, I always want them by my side,” she shares. “I don’t know if [Natasha] wants to work with me all day long [though]!” The Hallmark star and her husband, Valeri Bure, have been intentional about raising Natasha, 23, and sons Lev, 22, and Maksim, 20, to be grounded. “We tried to make it as normal as possible, and I’m a pretty down-to-earth person,” she explains. Plus, Candace adds that aspiring actress Natasha has worked to “forge [her] own career” outside of her mom’s shadow, something she “really respects.”
