Robbie Amell tells Us what to expect from the highly anticipated second season of sci-fi comedy Upload

-

Upload (March 11 on Prime Video) centers on Robbie

Amell’s Nathan, who, following an untimely death, is transferred to a virtual world where things are just as complicated — albeit more idyllic — as they were on earth. Here, the actor updates Us on what’s happening in Lakeview (and on that messy love triangle!) in the series’ next chapter.

Q: Tell Us about the second season!

It picks up right where season 1 left off: Nathan’s still frozen after running out of data, [his ex] Ingrid (Allegra Edwards) is in 2 Gig and Nora (Andy Allo) is gone. Nathan doesn’t know if Nora’s safe and he still wants to say I love you [to her]. But he quickly realizes that maybe she doesn’t want to be found. Nathan has to decide if he’s going to see if there’s still something there with Ingrid, because maybe uploading has changed her, the same way it did him. We [also] find out who murdered Nathan.

Q: How do you relate to Nathan?

Honestly, I bring more of myself to Nathan than any other character I’ve played. The second I read the script, I was like, “This guy and I speak the same way, we have the same sense of humor.”

Q: What other exciting projects do you have coming up?

I’m shooting Hello Stranger right now. Working with Sam Worthington, Simu Liu and Jordana Brewster has been awesome. Code 8: Part II is bigger and badder [than the 2019 film]. We’ve learned a ton from making the first one and I’m

?? ?? really excited for people to see it. I also [filmed] a romantic comedy called Float with Andrea Bang. It’s a beautiful little slice-of-life movie.
