APPETITE FOR DESTRUCTION
Natasha Leggero spills the beans on Rat in the Kitchen
Ready to roast! Comedian
Natasha Leggero has a knack for splitting sides — and she’ll follow suit as the cohost of Rat in the Kitchen (March 31 on TBS). The Broke alum dishes the details to Us.
Q: Tell Us about Rat in the Kitchen.
It’s a cooking competition with a twist: One of the chefs competing for the cash prize is also a saboteur trying to sabotage the others. [Cohost] Chef Ludo [Lefebvre] and I don’t know who the rat is either, so it’s like a cooking whodunit.
We’re also testing amazing food, but sometimes it’s revolting because the rat gets its hands in it.
Q: Did you learn anything about your own cooking skills as a cohost?
I’ve always known my cooking skills
are horrifying, and they didn’t get any better. However, my critiquing skills did, which my husband [Moshe Kasher] doesn’t appreciate since he does the cooking. Now I strive for excellence when I’m eating.
Q: Any other projects coming up? I have a book about parenthood coming out called The World Deserves My Children. You can also hear me on my podcast with my husband,
The Endless Honeymoon.
