INSIDE HER RISE & FALL
Bynes has been through a lot since her breakout role
Bynes said she felt she “needed to stop acting” after starring in 2010’s
Easy A. “I literally couldn’t stand my appearance… and I didn’t like my performance,” she stated.
She raised concerns about her mental health in 2013 after calling Zac Efron “ugly” and saying she wants Drake to “murder [her] vagina.”
On Valentine’s Day in 2020, Bynes announced she was engaged to Michael, whom she called “tha love of my life.”
After appearing on Nickelodeon’s sketch comedy show All That, Bynes landed her own series.
Her turn as a high schooler posing as her twin brother earned rave reviews and comparisons to legendary funny ladies Lucille Ball and Gilda Radner.
She was arrested in 2012 and 2014 for DUIs. In 2013, she was sentenced to three years’ probation and ordered to attend alcohol education courses.
She shared a photo of her graduation from the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising in 2019. Sources say she hopes to one day open a rehab facility.
