It’s been eight years since Cameron Diaz starred on the big screen — or any screen, for that matter. After playing Miss Hannigan in 2014’s Annie remake, the A-lister, 49, decided to simply quit acting, stating she didn’t like the constant scrutiny anymore. “I felt a peace in my soul because I was finally taking care of myself,” she’s said of focusing on her marriage to Benji Madden, 43, their daughter Raddix, 2, and her wine business, Avaline.
But a source tells Us she’s ready for a change! “She wants to get back into movies,” the source says, adding that Diaz already “called up her old agents.” “She loves being a mom and running her business, but she misses the camaraderie of being on a set.” However, she’s going to ease into it slowly. “She wants to start small,” the source says. “But she’s ready.”
