Vanderpump Rules’ Tom Schwartz and Tom Sandoval catch up with Us
Tom Schwartz and Tom Sandoval’s bromance is one for the ages — but in season 10 of Vanderpump Rules (Feb. 8 on Bravo), their friendship is tested as they struggle to open their second bar. Here, the entrepreneurs dish on the reality series’ highly anticipated return with Us.
Q: What can you tease?
Schwartz: It’s a different Vanderpump Rules landscape. Everyone was on a certain trajectory and life threw us curveballs. A lot of people had high-stakes, real-life stuff that came at us fast. I poured my heart out. I cry a lot, spoiler alert.
“I got thrust out of my comfort zone,” Schwartz says. “Ultimately, I’m a better person because of it.”
Sandoval: I can say that it’s going to be a very, very different season. There’s a lot of life changes. It feels like a throwback to earlier seasons.
Q: Schwartz, how was it filming with your ex-wife, Katie Maloney?
Schwartz: It was emotionally taxing, but still very connected and loving, for the most part. We hit a rough patch toward the end for reasons you may be able to speculate. But I think we’re good now. I still love and care about her. I feel like I’m a really good divorcé.
Q: How do you feel about this new chapter in your life?
Pretty dang good. A lot of things in my life are coming together. We just opened [Schwartz & Sandy’s]. We have an incredible crew and we’re in good hands.
Q: Sandoval, how was it hitting the road with your band, Tom Sandoval & The Most Extras?
Sandoval: It’s been one of my absolute favorite things in life. I’m so thankful for this band and this whole experience. It’s been such a great fit. I’m truly in my element.
Q: Any plans to put out an album?
Sandoval: I have an original song coming out that I’m excited about. It was a collaboration and I’m really excited for people to hear it.
