Many mouths to replace Stern in morning

In ; nity Broadcasti­ng has revealed plans to replace Howard Stern when he signs off on his morning show on 27 stations at the end of the year to go to Sirius Satellite Radio. Ex- Van Halen front man David Lee Roth will start in January on FM stations WXRK in New York; WBCN, Boston; WYSP, Philadelph­ia; WRKZ, Pittsburgh; WNCX, Cleveland; WPBZ, West Palm Beach, Fla.; and KLLI, Dallas. Comedian Adam Carolla takes over on KLSX in Los Angeles; KPLN, San Diego; KZON, Phoenix; KUFO, Portland; and KXTE, Las Vegas. Stations in Sacramento, Buffalo and Fresno, Calif., will switch to the musical format that uses no disc jockeys, otherswill replace Stern with everything from talk radio to CNN Radio News. . . . Also, The Boss will be born to run 24/ 7 with the debut Nov. 1 of Sirius’ E Street Radio, a commercial- free channel devoted to Bruce Springstee­n and the E Street Band. Sirius already exclusivel­y devotes channels to Elvis Presley and the Rolling Stones.
