What do you look for in a trusted news source?

-

Readers on Twitter shared their thoughts about the state of the news media today. Comments have been edited for clarity and grammar:

I look for factual and accurate information if a news source is going to claim to be credible.

—@ St_ Syn

Stop being stenographers for lying politicians and hold them accountable for bogus “facts.” . . . Every story does not have two sides. There’s the truth, and there are lies.

—@ Groginohio

We want accountability and integrity in our news sources!

—@ Loveinpower

I want more fact checks, both sides of the issue. I also want more commentators from the left, right, and citizen voices.

—@ Teachkevinteach

It’s hard to find a trusted news source today. Too much spin.

—@ scottlara1961

I doubt there is any source fully invested in the “truth” in news and not influenced by commercial or competitive interests.

—@ tab91787

I look for consistently honest and politically unbiased articles. Both of which are hard to find.
