COLTS’ LUCK SURPRISES INJURED HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL PLAYER

Indianapol­is Colts quarterbac­k Andrew Luck on Tuesday made a surprise visit to Edinburgh ( Ind.) High sophomore football player Steven Bailey at Riley Hospital for Children in Indianapol­is. Bailey, a running back and kick returner, suffered a ruptured spleen, lacerated kidney and a punctured lung after being tackled during Friday’s game at Manuel ( Indianapol­is). Luck signed a football for Bailey, who intends to return to the field next season — wearing a rib protector. Bailey’s parents told Indianapol­is TV station WTHR their son is doing well and could be out of the hospital as soon as today.
