Matchups favor McCoy, not Lacy
There are several inviting matchups in Week 11, but what should fantasy owners do when one of their regular starters faces a tough opponent? Let’s take a look.
STUDS RB LeSean McCoy, Philadelphia
Eagles: The workhorse back hasn’t produced a game with 100 total yards and a touchdown since Week 3. He turned the trick in Week 1, too — against the Washington Redskins, this weekend’s opponent.
QB Case Keenum, Houston Texans: The undrafted rookie has averaged 274 yards passing, with seven touchdowns and no interceptions, in three starts. The Oakland Raiders don’t make opponents pay for taking
chances, recording only six interceptions all season.
WR Vincent Jackson, Tampa Bay Buccaneers: It will be tough for Jackson to duplicate his 138- yard, two- TD effort from Week 7. That marked the last time he scored, so his owners will be eager to see him try. The Atlanta Falcons have allowed the fifth- most fantasy points to receivers.
WR Marvin Jones, Cincinnati
Bengals: Jones has been quiet since his four- touchdown launch party in Week 8. His playing time has increased significantly, however. Cleveland Browns CB Joe Haden again might put the clamps on A. J. Green, but Jones should hurt a defense that lately has been soft against the pass.
DUDS RB Eddie Lacy, Green Bay Pack
ers: Scott Tolzien might turn out to be the Packers’ best option to replace QB Aaron Rodgers, but the New York Giants prove it. should Their defense be willing has to held let run- him ning backs to 3.4 yards a carry, one of the five lowest this season.
TE Julius Thomas, Denver Broncos: The undefeated Kansas City Chiefs have given up the fewest fantasy points to tight ends. Their pass rush might require Thomas to provide additional protection for QB Peyton Manning.
WR Aaron Dobson, New England Patriots: The rookie has three TDs in his last two games, but the Carolina Panthers defense has been one of the toughest against wideouts.
SLEEPERS
QB Matt Ryan, Atlanta Falcons: Ryan has really missed Julio Jones and Roddy White. The latter is back, however. Ryan might not rack up yards, but he’ll force the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who have been a top- 10 matchup for quarterbacks, to adjust.
WR Brian Hartline, Miami Dolphins: Hartline has become a
forgotten man in the Dolphins’ inconsistent — but still dangerous — passing attack. The Chargers have surrendered the fourth- most fantasy points to receivers — and third- most catches — per game, making Hartline a candidate to rebound.
TE Rob Housler, Arizona Car
dinals: The third- year tight end had his best fantasy output last weekend with 57 yards and a score. Arizona has slowly integrated Housler into the offense and might do so frequently against the Jacksonville Jaguars, who have yielded the third- most fantasy points to the position.
