For Person of the Year, Merkel better than Trump

“Time” magazine on Wednesday named German Chancellor Angela Merkel its Person of the Year for her leadership during Europe’s debt and migration crises.

Angela Merkel deserves that award as much as President Obama deserved the Nobel Peace Prize. I wonder who the next leader will be to be given an award for destroying his or her country. You don’t have to do anything good any longer to be named Person of the Year or given a Nobel prize. Both awards are now a joke.

Well done, Merkel, for bringing the death knell to Europe. Soon terrorism will be everywhere. Muslims do not assimilate well in Western countries because their cultures and values are so different.

Merkel refused to bow to fear and hate when so many cowards succumbed to their basic instincts. I have hope and belief that we can do better and make this a better world.

I am glad that it is not Caitlyn Jenner or Donald Trump.

The honor should have gone to those Americans who stopped a massacre on the train headed for Paris. That probably saved hundreds of lives.

“Time” magazine is not even relevant anymore. It usually sits collecting dust at most dentists’ offices. Nationalist parties in Europe will slam the door, rightfully so, on the prescribed destruction by Brussels, the headquarters of the European Union.
