ISIS MILITANTS ATTACK AFGHAN MILITARY HOSPITAL

Islamic State fighters dressed as doctors stormed a military hospital in the Afghan capital Wednesday, killing more than 30 people and wounding dozens, authoritie­s said.

The attack happened at the Sardar Mohammad Daud Khan Hospital, a 400- bed facility located near two civilian hospitals in Kabul’s diplomatic quarter.

The gunmen stormed the building after a suicide bomber detonated his explosive belt at the main entrance gate, Afghan broadcaste­r TOLOnews reported.

People were trapped in the building as militants and government security forces clashed for hours. Interior Ministry spokesman Sediq Sediqqi said the four attackers were eventually killed.
