- Kelly Tyko

Hoping to whet shoppers’ appetites long before the turkey’s carved, Walmart is dishing about some of its Black Friday deals.

On Thursday, Walmart unveiled its 37- page holiday sales circular at Walmart. com, one of the most anticipated Black Friday ads of the season. Sure to grab the attention of holiday shoppers are a $ 249 iPad, $ 129 Apple Watch and 50- inch 4K television for $ 149.

As in recent years, Walmart’s instore Black Friday sale starts at 6 p. m. local time Thanksgiving at most stores. Select deals will be available online starting at 10 p. m. ET Nov. 27.

“As always, customers who look forward to shopping after their Thanksgiving meal can count on us for an incredible event in our stores,” Steve Bratspies, Walmart’s chief merchandising officer and an executive vice president, said in a blog post Thursday.

Walmart will have coffee, hot cocoa and snacks at 4 p. m. Thanksgiving, according to the ad. There also will be color- coded maps in the Walmart app to direct shoppers to the big doorbusters.

With six fewer days between Thanksgiving and Christmas than in 2018, Walmart wants shoppers to get an early start on holiday shopping and started dangling “Early Deal Drops” on Oct. 25 on select toys, electronics, home and sporting goods.

Now it’s adding “Buy Now” deals at www. walmart. com/ buynow and will hold a “Pre- Black Friday” sale starting at midnight Nov. 22 to get holiday shoppers in the mood, promising “incredible savings on electronics, toys and more.”

This is the first holiday season that Walmart is offering free delivery the next day on eligible orders over $ 35 and up on hundreds of thousands of items including electronics and toys without a membership fee. Amazon Prime, which offers next- day shipping, costs $ 119 a year.

Lowe’s also announced its Black Friday plans Thursday, while Target and Best Buy previously released their doorbuster deals.
