CORONAVIRUS IMPACT
Formula One’s governing body on Wednesday postponed the Chinese Grand Prix scheduled in Shanghai on April 19, the latest sporting event impacted by the fast- spreading viral infection in the country. More than 1,100 people have been killed in China by the coronavirus. F1 officials in a statement said they will study potential alternative dates for the race “should the situation improve.” Other virus- enforced cancellations or postponements range from soccer and Olympic qualifying events to golf tournaments.
