SNAPCHAT WON’T PROMOTE PRESIDENT’S ACCOUNT

Snapchat said it will stop promoting President Donald Trump’s account on its Discover tab, as social media platforms weigh how to respond to posts that may go against their policies. In a statement obtained by USA TODAY, Snapchat parent company Snap confirmed that it would no longer promote the president’s content. “We will not amplify voices who incite racial violence and injustice by giving them free promotion on Discover,” Snap said in its statement. Trump’s account remains available to the public.
