Pop duo Aly & AJ released a new explicit version of their hit “Potential Breakup Song” on Tuesday, which dropped in 2007. This new version sounds much like the previous radiofriendly iteration – with edgier, profane lyrics. The pair teased the new release on social media; the song apparently had been gaining new fans on TikTok. Fans of the group quickly offered their hot takes upon listening to the curse- filled update. “The only good thing that happened in 2020 was getting the adult version of potential breakup song,” Twitter user @ ahhnuska wrote.
