CHADWICK BOSEMAN

There wasn’t a dry eye in the ( virtual) audience during the Gotham Awards, presented by the Independent Film Project ( IFP), where the late actor was honored. The star, best known for his roles in “Black Panther,” “42” and “Get on Up,” died in August of colon cancer at 43. Boseman was tearfully remembered by his widow, Taylor Simone Ledward, during a heartbreaking tribute delivered remotely. Ledward called her late husband “the most honest person I ever met because he didn’t just stop at speaking the truth.”
