Detroit: Bowling alley owners across the state are sounding the alarm over how much longer their businesses can survive on- again, off- again pandemic restrictio­ns that ban indoor dining and limit who can bowl. The restrictio­ns are confusing and may result in more alleys going up for sale or out of business entirely, owners say. The Michigan Independen­t Bowling and Entertainm­ent Centers Associatio­n said it hired the Kallman Legal Group to file a lawsuit in federal court on behalf of five members, accusing Gov. Gretchen Whitmer and health officials of “taking Plaintiffs’ businesses for a public use without just compensati­on.”
