MUSK TAKING A TWITTER BREAK ‘ FOR A WHILE’
Elon Musk says he’s taking a break from Twitter. The Tesla and SpaceX CEO said early Tuesday he’s going to be “off Twitter for a while.” Musk didn’t offer any explanation for why he’s taking the hiatus. His most recent tweets focused on progress made at Tesla’s upcoming production plant in Berlin, his work on SpaceX and projects such as the Neuralink, a brain interface, and singing the praises of Reddit traders pushing GameStop shares higher. His past activity on Twitter has also landed him in trouble with the Securities and Exchange Commission. In August 2018, Musk tweeted about a potential deal that would’ve taken Tesla private, fueling a surge in shares.
