Other Views: ‘ I take full responsibility' for comments

- Aaron Rodgers, Tuesday on ‘ The Pat McAfee Show':

“I just want to start off the show acknowledging that I made some comments that people might have felt were misleading. To anybody who felt misled by those comments, I take full responsibility for those comments. I’m excited about feeling better and I’m excited about moving forward and hopefully getting back with my team and getting back to doing what I do best, and that’s playing ball. It’s been tough to be away from it. I’ve been obviously dealing with the COVID and I feel like I’m on the other side of it thankfully, and thankful to still be able to have something to look forward to.”

Dave Ross, KIRO Radio:

“Rodgers, who had to sit out Sunday’s game, now complains he’s being canceled. ... His vaccination status is none of my business and none of your business because we have no contact with Aaron Rodgers. I do think that it’s his employer’s business. ... And I think it’s his teammates’ business because they probably share a considerable number of microdroplets with him. ... But I don’t understand what’s got everybody else angry. ... Are you worried he’s feeding the anti- vaxxer movement? I think it’s just the opposite. I think it would motivate more people to get vaccinated. Just in case your co- workers have Aaron Rodgers as a role model.”

Dean Obeidallah, CNN:

“Rodgers has shown us he can be a winner on the field, but he’s now disappointingly behaving as a loser off the field. ( But) just like in the countless games where Rodgers was trailing in the fourth quarter and then led his team to victory, it’s not too late for the NFL star to turn things around here. Rodgers ... going forward should only share accurate information about COVID- 19 and treatment based on science. ... That’s what true leadership looks like.”
