KELLOGG SPLITTING INTO TWO SEPARATE COMPANIES
Kellogg Company is splitting in to two independently traded companies, spinning off their global snacking business into Kellanova and North American cereal brand into WK Kellogg Co. The company unveiled the new names in March 2023. Its board of directors approved the separation plan Monday. The separation is effective Oct. 2, the company said. The new companies will have different logos, but maintain the red text and “K.” Kellanova will include cereal brands Kellogg’s, Frosties, Special K and Coco Pops. They also will include Pringles, Cheez- It, Pop- Tarts, Rice Krispies Treats, MorningStar Farms and Eggo. The WK Kellogg Co. portfolio will include Frosted Flakes, Froot Loops, Mini- Wheats, Raisin Bran and Rice Krispies.
