Hard to keep up with Lions’ Jones
These players saw their fantasy values increase or decrease most based on their performances in Week 7:
Sizzlers
WR Marvin Jones, Detroit Lions: Jones seems to have one “blow-up” game like this every season, but it doesn’t usually come with four touchdown catches. With the Lions in catch-up mode, the targets (13) were more plentiful than usual.
QB Aaron Rodgers, Green Bay Packers: Without star receiver Davante Adams for a third consecutive week, Rodgers spread his 429 passing yards among eight different receivers, throwing for five touchdowns and running for another.
QB Jacoby Brissett, Indianapolis Colts: Brissett was efficient and unafraid to throw the ball in the red zone, which resulted in season highs of 326 yards and four TD passes.
RB Chase Edmonds, Arizona Cardinals: It was a surprise when David Johnson was active and had one carry. Edmonds picked up the slack, rushing for 126 yards and three scores.
TE Darren Waller, Oakland Raiders: Waller is more wide receiver than tight end, but with Oakland’s wideouts struggling, Waller has been the only dependable option in the passing game.
Fizzlers
WR Will Fuller, Houston Texans: A hamstring injury cut Fuller’s week short and might now cause him to miss several games. Kenny Stills becomes an interesting waiver target.
TE Evan Engram, New York Giants: Engram had a quiet week, managing just one reception on five targets. He just isn’t used as much with Daniel Jones at quarterback as he was with Eli Manning.
RB David Montgomery, Chicago Bears: Montgomery only rushed twice for 6 yards and lost a fumble. Game flow might have been a contributing factor, but the rookie’s involvement seems to be going in the wrong direction.
RB Devonta Freeman, Atlanta Falcons: Freeman was ineffective before being ejected for throwing a punch. The entire Atlanta offense is sputtering and quarterback Matt Ryan is dealing with an ankle injury.
WR Terry McLaurin, Washington Redskins: Maybe it was the steady rain, but McLaurin was held to one catch for 11 yards.
