Mixon, Brown coming on late
These players saw their fantasy values increase or decrease most based on their performances in Week 14:
Sizzlers
RB Joe Mixon, Bengals: Just as fantasy owners began to doubt him, Mixon tallied 186 total yards and has a TD in three of his last four games. He faces New England this week.
WR A.J. Brown, Titans: The switch to Ryan Tannehill at quarterback has changed everything. Brown has emerged as his favorite target with 153 receiving yards and two TDs against Oakland.
WR Emmanuel Sanders, 49ers: In a shootout with the Saints, he amassed 157 yards receiving and scored a TD. His 35-yard TD pass to Raheem Mostert was icing on the cake.
QB Mitchell Trubisky, Bears: He’s set season highs for fantasy points in each of his last three games, capped by four TDs (three passing, one rushing) versus Dallas.
QB Jameis Winston, Buccaneers: He’s as turnoverprone as ever, but 456 passing yards and four TDs will more than offset those mistakes in fantasy. A small fracture in his right thumb does not seem to be a major concern.
Fizzlers
RB Sony Michel, Patriots: He had five carries for 8 yards and a 1-yard reception as their comeback attempt fell short.
RB Benny Snell, Steelers: He had nowhere to run as he posted a pedestrian 41 yards and lost a fumble. The Steelers are expected to have starter James Conner back this week.
WR Odell Beckham Jr., Browns: He has seen a steady reduction in targets for five consecutive games. With a sports hernia that will require surgery, it should not be all that surprising to see him being phased out.
WR John Brown, Bills: His production has tailed off lately, with just eight receptions in three weeks. With the weather turning colder — and the Steelers and Patriots up next – look for the Bills to focus more on the running game.
WR Brandin Cooks, Rams: He was a viable fantasy starter until a concussion in Week 8. Since coming back, he has just four receptions in three games, including zero versus Seattle.
