Chiefs’ keys to victory: Kansas City shouldn’t neglect the ground game. It’s easy to forget about the running game when you have a talent at quarterback like Patrick Mahomes and a bevy of receiving weapons around him including WRs Tyreek Hill and Sammy Watkins along with TE Travis Kelce. This team is at its best this season when Kansas City takes a balanced approach and gets the running game going. Now that the Chiefs have two talented running backs in Clyde Edwards-Helaire and Le’Veon Bell, it should be a bit easier to lend some attention to the ground game.

Jets’ keys to victory: Head coach Adam Gase finally gave up play-calling duties in Week 7, allowing offensive coordinator Dowell Loggains to call the offense against the Bills. New York’s offense found some immediate success, taking an early 10-0 lead against Buffalo. Alas, it didn’t matter in the end as the Jets still lost to remain the league’s only winless team.

Matchup to watch: Jets LB Avery Williamson vs. Chiefs RB Bell. This game will likely be known as the “Le’Veon Bell Revenge Game” as the running back will get a chance to remind his former team of the type of player he is. Williamson, New York’s top linebacker, will be tasked with slowing Bell down.

Who wins? What do the Jets have to play for? At this point, it might simply be an audition for those who could be traded away before the deadline or sign elsewhere as free agents next offseason.
