WASHINGTON
Storyline of the week
Offensive line appears settled: For most of training camp, Washington’s first-team offensive line was rookie Sam Cosmi at right tackle, Brandon Scherff at right guard, Chase Roullier at center, Wes Schweitzer at left guard and Charles Leno at left tackle. The only battles at the start of camp were at right tackle with Cosmi and Cornelius Lucas, and Schweitzer and Ereck Flowers at left guard. Cosmi is firmly entrenched and it appears Flowers is a starter. He started the Week 2 preseason game vs. Cincinnati. He left after the first quarter with the starters.
Rookie watch
WR Dyami Brown made one big play in the win over the Bengals. He caught a 29-yard pass from Ryan Fitzpatrick that had fans buzzing online. Brown did have a drop, but his potential is high. LB Jamin Davis was active during his brief time on the field. CB Benjamin St-Juste remains the most-talked about Washington rookie. St-Juste started the second preseason game and did well. It’s looking more like Washington will go with St-Juste and William Jackson III on the outside, with Kendall Fuller moving back to the slot.
