BALTIMORE
Storyline of the week
Dobbins goes down: The Ravens played most of their starters for one series in their third and final preseason game of 2021. On that drive, they saw second-year RB J.K. Dobbins leave the game with a serious knee injury, confirmed to be a torn ACL that will sideline him for the season. RBs Gus Edwards and Ty’Son Williams will be relied upon to carry the load for Baltimore. In other news, OT Ronnie Stanley believes he’ll be full go for Week 1. He and the rest of the starters on the offensive line group are finally taking snaps together.
With WR Rashod Bateman still out with an injury, Tylan Wallace has gotten more chances, catching a touchdown in preseason Week 3 vs. Washington. OLBs Odafe Oweh and Daelin Hayes continue to learn under veterans such as Justin Houston, while thirdround DB Brandon Stephens seems to have carved out a role for himself during the regular season. Third-round guard Ben Cleveland got his first preseason action in Baltimore’s Week 3 game and looked good in his snaps.
