Follow these favorites to wins versus spread

Top wagering picks for college football Week 13 based on lines from Tipico Sportsbook:

No. 3 Ohio State (10-1) at No. 6 Michigan (10-1)

Perhaps no team in the country is playing better than Ohio State right now, as evidenced by its 49-0 lead over thenNo. 8 Michigan State … at halftime. The Buckeyes’ offense is rolling behind Heisman contender QB C.J. Stroud with a nation-leading 559.9 yards per game and 47.2 points per game. Michigan will be their toughest test to date – the Wolverines are 9-2 against the spread and have a pass defense that might slow down the Buckeyes – but there’s too much firepower to go against Ohio State here.

Pick: Ohio State -8.5

No. 5 Notre Dame (10-1) at Stanford (3-8)

Two programs heading in different directions. Stanford is in free fall and hasn’t covered the spread in its last six games, while the Irish have covered their last six and have allowed nine combined points in their last three games. Though head coach Brian Kelly won’t admit it, look for Notre Dame to rack up some style points in its final audition for the College Football Playoff.

Pick: Notre Dame -19.5

Virginia Tech (5-6) at Virginia (6-5)

Virginia’s offense looks to be rolling again now that QB Brennan Armstrong is back from a rib injury. The Cavaliers are averaging 390.2 passing yards per game (second nationally), which will be a major problem for a Virginia Tech defense that gave up 357 passing yards to Miami last week. The Hokies are just 4-7 against the spread this year while Virginia is 7-4. Look for UVA to regain control of the Commonwealth Cup.

Pick: Virginia -7.5

No. 15 BYU (9-2) at Southern California (4-6)

USC is in a tailspin as it plays out the rest of a disappointing season. The Trojans are coming off a blowout 62-33 loss to UCLA last week and are 0-5 against the spread over their last five games. BYU’s offense ranks 20th in yards per game (456.4) and 28th in points per game (33.4) and should be able to separate itself from the reeling Trojans.

Pick: BYU -6.5
