Colts (1-1) at Ravens (2-0)
Sunday, 1 p.m. EDT, M&T Bank Stadium, Baltimore
TV: CBS
Spread (BetMGM):
Ravens by 7.5
Colts’ keys to victory: Rookie QB Anthony Richardson rushed for two touchdowns before leaving with a concussion, and QB Gardner Minshew threw for 171 yards and a touchdown as the Colts beat the Texans 31-20 in Week 2. For the Colts to win this week, they’ll need to rely on RB Zack Moss and could be forced into a vertical passing game with Richardson in concussion protocol and Minshew in line to start. Indianapolis will need to limit QB Lamar Jackson while containing the Baltimore rushing attack.
Ravens’ keys to victory: Jackson was 24-for-33 passing for 237 yards and two touchdowns in a Week 2 win over the Bengals. Baltimore will look to lean on Jackson’s dual-threat abilities while turning to RBs Gus Edwards and Justice Hill for ball control in the running game. LBs Odafe Oweh, David Ojabo and Jadeveon Clowney excelled at pressuring Bengals QB Joe Burrow in Week 2, and they’ll look to maintain their momentum on defense heading into Week 3.
Matchup to watch: Ravens DT Travis Jones vs. Colts OL Quenton Nelson. Jones had four tackles in Baltimore’s Week 2 win. The powerful DT/NT has done a good job of providing Baltimore with a rotating run stuffer to complement DTs Justin Madubuike and and Michael Pierce.
Who wins? Baltimore is hitting their offensive stride under firstyear offensive coordinator Todd Monken. Jackson is flourishing from the pocket and the defense is attacking the quarterback in swarms. Baltimore dominates Indy with or without Richardson.
Ravens 35-21
