Titans (2-2) at Colts (2-2)
Sunday, 1 p.m. EDT, Lucas Oil Stadium, Indianapolis
TV: CBS
Spread (BetMGM):
Colts by 1.5
Titans’ keys to victory: To keep the offense moving in rhythm, Tennessee has to again lean on RB Derrick Henry to be the catalyst. Keeping him going is key to keep the pressure off QB Ryan Tannehill, who will need to attack the middle of the field against an inexperienced secondary with WR DeAndre Hopkins. Working off play action should help them find success in the passing game. When protected, Tannehill will have his chances to find the soft spots in the Colts’ zone defense. On the other side of the ball, DT Jeffrey Simmons must generate consistent pressure from the top of the pocket, and DE Denico Autry will need to focus on containing Indy’s mobile quarterback.
Colts’ keys to victory: QB Anthony Richardson will need to take advantage of Tennessee’s shaky secondary. Pass protection will be key for LT Bernhard Raimann and LG Quenton Nelson, and Richardson will need to lean on his legs after scoring four rushing touchdowns in three games thus far. Getting WR Michael Pittman Jr. consistently involved is vital for the passing game. Meanwhile, DE Kwity Paye and DT DeForest Buckner will need to jumpstart the pass rush, and DT Grover Stewart will be tasked with leading the run defense against Henry.
Matchup to watch: Titans’ Simmons vs. Colts interior offensive line. Simmons will be the main defensive threat for the Colts offense.
Who wins? It will be a physical matchup between division opponents. Richardson’s mobility helps lead the Colts to a close win.
