Rams (8-7) at Giants (5-10)
Sunday, 1 p.m. ET, MetLife Stadium, East Rutherford, New Jersey
TV: Fox
Spread (FanDuel): Rams by 6.5
Rams’ keys to victory: The Rams will be well-rested following their win over the New Orleans Saints on Dec. 21, which means they should have no problem leaning on RB Kyren Williams once again. The Giants are one of the worst rush defenses in the NFL, and Williams is riding a threegame streak with at least 100 rushing yards. Los Angeles should keep handing it off to its stud running back and wear the Giants down by forcing them to tackle him in the open field. The Rams are at their best when the running game is leading the way and opening up the field for QB Matthew Stafford.
Giants’ keys to victory: The Giants are up against a red-hot team in this one, and the only way they’re going to win this game is by maintaining possession and keeping the ball away from Stafford. RB Saquon Barkley is their best playmaker on offense. While Los Angeles’ defense has been solid against the run, Barkley can create big plays as a receiver by forcing missed tackles. Hitting a long pass or two is also very possible against this Rams defense and could be the difference in the game.
Matchup to watch: Rams C Coleman Shelton vs. Giants NT Dexter Lawrence. Lawrence can help slow down Williams on inside runs by beating Shelton with his sheer power, knocking the Rams center back and forcing Williams to bounce runs outside.
Who wins? The Giants struggle against the run and don’t have much firepower on offense. The Rams should win fairly comfortably.
