Toyota to delay launch of bigger Prius

Toyota will delay its planned April launch of the bigger, van-like Prius V hybrid in Japan and Europe due to ongoing supply disruptions in Japan, and the planned U.S. debut later this year is up in the air. “It is confirmed that Prius Vwill be delayed for Japan and Europe markets … no determination has been made” for the U.S., said spokesman Mike Michels at Toyota USA. The Prius V is key in Toyota’s plan to create a family of Prius vehicles.
