Miami (Fla.) player accused of felonies


Miami (Fla.) linebacker RamonBucha­nanis facing felony counts of resisting arrest and battery after being accused of spitting on and attempting to head butt a police officer. He has been suspended indefinite­ly by Hurricanes coach Al Golden. Police said Buchanan, 21, caused a disturbanc­e in a restaurant bathroom in the Coconut Grove section of Miami at about 1:30 a.m. ET Friday. He was told to leave three times before being placed under arrest. The charges against Buchanan were filed Friday. Buchanan was released pending an April 18 hearing. Court records show Buchanan also faces misdemeano­r charges of trespassin­g, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest without violence.
