Jones returns:

Atlanta Braves third baseman Chipper Jones was activated from the disabled list and made an impact in his 2012 debut Tuesday vs. the Houston Astros. Jones, who turns 40 on April 24, went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer in a 6-4 win. He had been on the DL after having surgery March 26 to repair a torn meniscus in his left knee. Jones, who plans to retire at the end of this season, hit .275 with 18 home runs in 2011.
