Mike Price, Alabama football, let go in May 2003 after a Sports Illustrated story alleging he had sex in a Pensacola, Fla., hotel room with an exotic dancer. Price denied those allegations and sued SI. The suit was settled out of court in 2005. Now coaching at Texas-el Paso.

Larry Eustachy, Iowa State basketball, pictures showing him drinking beer at a party at Missouri after an ISU loss there in January 2003. Resigned in May 2003. Now coaching at Southern Mississippi.

Bob Knight, Indiana basketball, fired in September 2000 after an IU student said Knight grabbed him roughly. Knight had been placed under a zero-tolerance policy by then-school president Myles Brand in May 2000.

Nolan Richardson, Arkansas basketball, was bought out of his contract in 2002 after comments by Richardson that he was being mistreated by school administrators and fans mainly because he was African American. The athletics director who made that decision was Frank Broyles, whose name is on the football playing field at Arkansas.
