Jessica can seemingly sing anything with effortless grace and power. She’s clearly the singer to beat. But she can be beaten if her future song choices are as drab as last week’s How Will I Know, her second and thoroughly superfluous Whitney Houston cover. But Jessica has displayed sparks of originality, most notably her mesmerizing reimagining of Beyoncé’s Sweet

Dreams, and she’s smart enough to know she can’t sing blockbuster ballads every week. She seems certain to make the top three, but winning will require that extra jolt of imagination.
