U.S. death toll

As of Thursday, 1,810 U.S. servicemembers and three Defense Department civilians had been reported killed in the Afghanistan War.

The latest death identified:

-Marine Lance Cpl. Ramon T. Kaipat, 22, of Tacoma, Wash., died Wednesday during combat operations in Helmand province; 1st Marine Expeditionary Force.
