Scare tactics dominate debate on health care reform

- Jeff Raposo Westport, Mass.

I agree with your Monday editorial that scare tactics and misinformation are driving the health care debate. Sad, yet true (“Attack on obscure agency exposes latest scare tactic,” Our view, Health care reform debate).

And I don’t think it is a coincidence that the opposing view comments are all from legislators from the Southern states (“Don’t let a panel control care”). It makes you wonder what they are thinking to continue to promote misleading perspectives. And what do their views and distorted rhetoric say about their constituencies?
