-

After taking an elbow to the head in Wednesday’s loss at the Denver Nuggets, two-time NBA All-star forward Kevin Love was sidelined by the Minnesota Timberwolves for Thursday’s 95-82 home loss to the Los Angeles Clippers with what the team described as a mild concussion. Given the NBA’S new policies on concussions, the question is how much longer Love will be out. He must pass a series of tests to be allowed back on the court. Six

team’s season, which likely will end without a playoff berth for the eighth consecutive year. “He might just be extra cautious and say, ‘I’m done for the year,’ and come back fresh next year,” said teammate Anthony Tolliver, who spoke to Love by phone. Love spent the night in a Denver hospital for observation and was expected back in Minneapolis later Thursday.
