Taylor murder trial delayed again

The trial for the man accused of killing former Washington Redskins safety Sean Taylor hit another snag Thursday when Miami-dade Circuit Court Judge Dennis J. Murphy postponed a scheduled hearing until July 12. The Washington Post reported that the trial of Eric Rivera was scheduled to begin Monday and that Thursday’s delay was the trial’s sixth. Taylor was shot and killed in a November 2007 robbery attempt at his home in Florida. The most recent postponement came after Rivera’s attorney requested more time to work on the case. The first date for the Taylor trial was set for April 2008.
